These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of FundBug ("Service"), operated by FundBug LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing the FundBug website at fundbug.net, creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. Use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the Terms as they exist at the time of use.
FundBug is an informational research and notification service. We aggregate, curate, and deliver information about grants, loans, tax credits, corporate programs, and other funding opportunities that may be relevant to small businesses.
FundBug is not a grant writer, loan broker, financial advisor, or legal advisor. We do not apply for funding on your behalf. We do not represent you to any funding program or program administrator. We do not evaluate, approve, or guarantee your eligibility for any program. We do not provide personalized financial or legal advice. Nothing in our Service constitutes a professional recommendation.
All content — including program summaries, eligibility descriptions, match scores, and application guidance — is provided for informational purposes only. It reflects our interpretation of publicly available information at the time of research and may not be current, complete, or accurate.
Program information in our database is compiled from public sources including government portals, program websites, press releases, and other publicly available materials. We make reasonable efforts to verify and update this information, but we make no warranty that any program listing is accurate, current, complete, or free from error.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FUNDBUG LLC EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Funding program requirements, deadlines, award amounts, and eligibility criteria change frequently. We do not guarantee that information in our database reflects the current state of any program at the time you receive or read it.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FUNDBUG LLC AND ITS OWNER(S), EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR RELIANCE ON ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED THEREIN.
This includes, without limitation, damages for: loss of funding, lost profits, missed grant opportunities, failed loan applications, wasted application time or fees, decisions made in reliance on program information that later proves inaccurate, or any other outcome — positive or negative — related to your use of FundBug.
In no event shall FundBug LLC's total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service exceed the total subscription fees paid by you to FundBug LLC in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, the above limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
You are solely responsible for independently verifying all information before acting on it. Before applying to any program identified through FundBug, you should:
FundBug's summaries, eligibility descriptions, and match explanations are interpretations intended to help you identify programs worth investigating — not authoritative determinations of eligibility or fit. The final determination of eligibility for any program rests solely with the program administrator, not with FundBug.
FundBug makes no representations or guarantees that use of the Service will result in any grant award, loan approval, or other funding outcome. Competitive grant and loan programs involve factors entirely outside FundBug's knowledge or control, including application quality, review panel decisions, available funding pool, and program administrator discretion.
We will take credit for surfacing an opportunity that your business successfully applied for and won. We do not accept responsibility for funding outcomes — positive or negative — that result from your application decisions. The act of identifying a program and the outcome of any application are separate matters.
The Service does not constitute a promise, representation, or guarantee of any funding result. Any historical examples, program success stories, or illustrative dollar amounts referenced in our materials are provided for informational purposes only and do not guarantee similar results for you.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate business profile information. FundBug's ability to deliver relevant matches depends on the accuracy of the information you provide.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that provide materially false business information.
All content, design, copy, software, and materials comprising the FundBug Service — including digest content, program database, match explanations, and website design — are the proprietary property of FundBug LLC and are protected by copyright and other applicable intellectual property laws.
Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use digest content for your own business purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, resell, or republish FundBug content without written permission.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FundBug LLC and its owner, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) any information you provide to FundBug; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your application to or dealings with any funding program identified through FundBug.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Barnstable County, Massachusetts.
Before initiating any legal action, you agree to first contact us at hello@fundbug.net and provide a reasonable opportunity (no less than 30 days) to resolve the dispute informally.
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify subscribers by email. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
