About FundBug

Built for the small business owner who doesn't have time to chase money

Grants, loans, and funding programs exist for businesses like yours. Most go unclaimed — not because businesses don't qualify, but because they never hear about them.

The problem we're solving

There are hundreds of grant programs, low-interest loan funds, tax credits, and corporate assistance programs available to small businesses in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Pennsylvania. Federal programs. State programs. Local BID programs. Corporate initiatives. Nonprofit funds.

The problem isn't that the money doesn't exist. The problem is that finding it is a part-time job. Most small business owners don't have time to monitor dozens of portals, track deadlines, or evaluate whether a program is actually worth their time to apply for.

FundBug solves that. We do the monitoring, the filtering, and the matching — then send you a clean, ranked digest every two weeks that tells you exactly which programs fit your business and why.

How we work

Every program in our database is verified by hand. We check URLs, confirm deadlines, validate eligibility requirements, and flag anything that looks stale. Programs that go dark get removed. Programs that reopen get re-added.

When you sign up, you tell us about your business — industry, location, size, ownership, revenue, how long you've been operating. Our system matches that profile against every active program and scores each one for fit and competition level.

Your digest is ranked by your best opportunities first. The first slot is always your top grant or matching grant. Loans and lower-priority programs fall further down. We tell you what to emphasize in your application, flag upcoming deadlines, and note anything that might disqualify you upfront.

Who built this

W
Will Corridan
Founder — FundBug · Hyannis, MA

FundBug was built in Hyannis, Massachusetts. Before starting FundBug, I spent time in capital markets and private placement. I kept running into small business owners who had no idea what funding was available to them — not because the programs didn't exist, but because finding them took more time and energy than most owners had to spare. FundBug is the tool I wish those businesses had.

What FundBug is not

We are not a grant writer. We are not a loan broker. We do not apply on your behalf. FundBug is a research and intelligence service — we find the programs, explain why they fit, and surface them when the timing is right. What you do with that information is up to you.

We also won't pad our database with junk. If a program has been inactive for two years, you won't see it. If a program requires you to be a nonprofit when you're not, we filter it out before it ever reaches you.
